Pokhara. Victims of cooperative scams in Pokhara are set to stage a protest today, demanding the return of their savings and seeking justice. The protest has been organized under the banner of the Cooperative Victims’ Struggle Committee, which has issued a notice calling on people to participate.

Support for the cooperative victims has grown, with other groups joining in after members of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) referred to their own demonstration as a protest by independent citizens. The cooperative victims have scheduled their protest to take place at Rastra Bank Chowk at 11 a.m.

Previously, the RSP held a protest at Human Rights Chowk on Saturday in defense of their party president, Rabi Lamichhane. According to RSP leader Uttam Paudel, another protest is planned for today, with party leaders and activists expected to gather near the court as Lamichhane is set to appear before the judiciary.
