Meeting Between Maoist Center and Chinese Communist Party Leaders, Prachanda Emphasizes Implementation of Bilateral Agreements

Kathmandu. A meeting was held at the residence of Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center), in Khumaltar between the Maoist Center and the visiting delegation of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

From the Maoist Center, senior vice-chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha, vice-chairperson Pampha Bhusal, deputy general secretaries Janardan Sharma and Shakti Bahadur Basnet, and central member Ganga Dahal were present. The Chinese delegation included Chen Gang, a central committee member of the CCP and Secretary of Qinghai Province, along with China’s ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, among others.

During the meeting, Prachanda emphasized the importance of implementing the bilateral agreements previously made between Nepal and China. He expressed his gratitude for China’s continued support for Nepal’s development and national sovereignty, and reiterated the need for prompt implementation of the bilateral understandings.

Prachanda noted that despite internal political fluctuations, efforts should be made to ensure that the significant agreements reached during his visit to China last year are not affected and are implemented effectively.
