Ganeshman Singh, the supreme leader of the Nepali Congress, was a unifying figure who never engaged in factionalism, NC leader Bal Bahadur KC said.
Speaking at a program organized on the 110th birth anniversary of Ganeshman Singh at Ganeshman Singh Batika in Suryabinayak-5, Bhaktapur on Saturday, Central Working Committee member of the Nepali Congress, Bal Bahadur KC said, “The Iron Man, late Ganeshman Singh, was never engaged in factionalism. He was a unifying force within the party, always prioritizing the collective good over personal interests. If the party were to emulate his approach, it could resolve many of its current problems.”
Ganeshman Singh left no stone unturned in bolstering the party, added KC commending his exemplary dedication and devotion to the party and democratic system in the country. He went on to say that without Ganesh Man, the Satyagraha 2042 would not have been possible.
“Organizing a simple program to commemorate him on his birth anniversary is not enough to honor Ganeshman. To honor him truly, we must follow his vision, dedication, and leadership style,” said KC urging all party members to follow in his footsteps for the welfare of the party, people, and the entire nation.
Similarly, speaking at the memorial program, Nepali Congress Bhaktapur District President Durlav Thapa urged everyone to follow Ganeshman’s call for an economic revolution to ensure the prosperity of the people and the nation.
Remembering Ganesh Man’s call for an ‘economic revolution’ after the completion of the People’s Movement 1990, Thapa said “We must heed his words and launch an economic revolution through industrialization, education, healthcare, and job creation.”
Meanwhile, he sharply criticized the fact that only the leaders had prospered economically while the people’s economic conditions remained unchanged.
Sabin Dungel, a member of the Ganeshman Singh Batika, remembered Ganeshman Singh as a rebellious Nepali Congress leader who successfully led the 1990 People’s Movement, restoring democracy at a time when many political leaders were uncertain about the future of the movement without BP Koirala.
Leaders and participants of the program paid floral tributes to the late Ganeshman Singh’s monument and reminisced about his contributions to the country’s democratic movement.
